In A Nutshell:

The Vivanta By Taj has a really great location on a headland above the Golden Mile Beach. It was one of the first 5 star beach hotels in Sri Lanka and has a full compliment of facilities that goes with the Taj name. Arguably it needs a bit of a renovation considering the premium rates they charge for accommodation, especially during peak periods.

Tips: Deluxe and Premium Rooms have full sea views and are on the upper floors. The standard Superior Charm Rooms on the lower floors have a partial sea view only. Stay on BB basis as one of the hotel’s highlights is the cuisine at its specialty restaurants.
