Ultimate Sri Lanka Adventure

Experience The Real Sri Lanka

A journey of adventure and discovery that takes you deep into the heart and soul of Sri Lanka. As well as the essential sites, you will see one or two of its hidden treasures, and many special places that are yet to be discovered.

Upon arrival travel to The Mudhouse, a nature lodge in a supremely beautiful part of rural Sri Lanka, where you can bathe in the lotus filed waters of an idyllic lake. On the way to the Cultural Triangle visit the colossal Buddha at Aukana Temple and the ‘not to be missed’ Sigiriya Fortress.

Travel southwards to the old royal capital of Kandy and then to Kithulgala where you can visit lush rainforests and even try White Water Rafting if you wish. Between December – April a trek to the top of Adam’s Peak is included. The sacred mountain can be easily climbed for an awe inspiring, mystical sunrise.

A breathtaking journey through the Hill Country to Haputale is one of the ‘Great Railway Journeys Of The World’. During the Non-Peak Season, travel to Liptons Seat and watch the most spectacular view in the whole of Sri Lanka!

The jungles of Yala National Park contain Sri Lanka’s famous Leopards, Sloth Bears and Crocodiles, and is one of Asia’s premier game reserves.

You can easily add a beach stay in the Deep South of Sri Lanka to make this a very special 2 week holiday adventure in the island.

Day 11

To Sri Lanka’s Beaches Or Colombo

Beach Stay In Sri Lanka
The Deep South beaches of Sri Lanka attract the majority of independent holidaymakers to the island. There are many affordable beach cabanas, superior guest houses and small hotels at the following resorts:

Hikkaduwa
A youthful West Coast resort that is popular with international surfers with plenty of good snorkelling. There are lots of guesthouses around the surfing point at Narigama and more conventional medium size beach hotels in the town of Hikkaduwa.

Unawatuna
A reef-protected bay that offers safe swimming in shallow seas throughout the year. A variety of guesthouses and small hotels sit right on the beach next to the waves! Other small hotels are located on a jungle clad hillside behind the beach.

Mirissa
The ‘secret’ beach at Mirissa appeals to those who are looking for an idyllic beach paradise. No crowds, one or two local shops, a few beach cabanas and a very beautiful beach all to yourself!

Tangalle
A sea of the deepest blue lined with coconut palm bays and coves and deserted beaches. Budget accommodation consists of simple beach cabanas under the coconut groves. The area is famous for its turtle nesting beaches.

Alternatively you may choose any of the resort hotels on the South West Coast at Bentota, Kalutara or Wadduwa.

NOTE: You can choose as many beach nights as you require.

NOTE: If you do not require a beach stay, you need to add a stopover night after your tour at Colombo or near the Airport prior to your departure from Sri Lanka.
