South Point Villa is an exclusive hideout, a few kilometres south of the historic city of Galle. Opening directly onto a beautiful cove with an unspoiled golden beach in southern Sri Lanka, whilst the sea with its beautiful coral formations and year round warm waters, is excellent for swimming and snorkelling within the reef lagoon.

South Point Villa caters exclusively to those in search of absolute privacy, peace and tranquillity, to take pleasure in the privacy provided and be pampered by courteous staff. This spacious three bed room villa is elegantly furnished with modern and classical furniture, is simple - yet luxurious. Many of its doors and windows date back to the Dutch and British period of Sri Lanka’s history.

• Master Bedroom
A large and spacious room with a lovely view of the ocean through mangroves. Large sliding windows open out to the garden. King size four poster bed draped with mosquito nets, boarded teak floor. TV, air conditioning and fan. Attached large spacious bathroom with wooden vanity counters, his and her wash basins, rainfall shower. Hot and cold water on tap.

• Sea Room
Has a spectacular view of the ocean, can be used as a family room, two queen size four poster beds draped with mosquito nets. Large sliding windows open out to the wooden deck, boarded wooden floor, TV, air conditioning and fan. Large bathroom with his and her wash basins.

• Pond Room
Overlooks a carp pond with beautiful water lilies and water plants, a king size four poster bed draped with mosquito nets. Boarded wooden floors. TV, air conditioning and fan. Attached large bathroom with his and her wash basins. Rainfall shower with hot and cold water.

Fine Dining

• Meals can be served wherever you prefer - in the dining room, verandah or garden. The villa serves a breakfast of fresh fruits, fresh tropical fruit juice, tea or coffee with milk. Sri Lankan breakfast specialties include kiribath (coconut milk rice) or roti or string hoppers, or plain hoppers made of rice flour with curry as accompaniments.

A range of cuisine is available from Western to Sri Lankan. There is a wide range of a la carte menu choices available. Barbeques featuring fresh lobster, jumbo prawns, crabs, and fish are villa specialties. Try local tropical fruits and fruit juice on a daily basis with fresh curds and coconut treacle for health conscious guests. Fruits are purchased direct from plantations or farmers.

• Kitchen - There is a centrally located well appointed kitchen. You can walk into and prepare your own food with the help of the chef or watch him prepare gourmet dishes. You are most welcome to discuss your meals with the chef and order accordingly.

Facilities

Swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and snorkelling in coral pools in front of the beach villas. Music - TV, DVD and musical system available. Internet connection - wireless internet connection available at South Point Villa. Deep sea fishing possible for Blue And Black Marline Tuna, White or Striped Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, Barracuda and others.

Surfing - Ideal surfing in a bay, a few minutes walk from Southpoint Villa. Boards can be hired locally. Dolphins have been sighted in the sea opposite South Point Villa and Abbey. Turtle Hatchery - Turtle eggs are protected by purchasing them from fishermen and given to a hatchery. Once eggs hatch, the baby turtles are released back to sea. If you are lucky, you too will have the opportunity to release them.

Yoga instructor and Herbal / Ayurvedic masseurs can be arranged.
