• Wadduwa is a small fishing village to the south of Colombo with a long and straight sandy beach that stretches for many miles in both directions. The beach is fine for wading but not recommended for swimming out into the sea.

• Spend a day shopping and sightseeing in the capital city of Colombo 1.5 hours away.
• An amazing drive on the South Coast Road takes you along some of the world’s most   beautiful beaches to the colonial heritage town of Galle about 3 hours away.
• Thrill seekers can get up early and travel about 3 hours to Kithulgala for White Water
Rafting in lush rainforests (GRADE 2 / 3 - suitable for beginners).
• Nature lovers can travel to the luxuriant tropical Sinharaja Rainforest, where you can go
  on treks with Forest Dept guides to observe huge trees, creepers and wild orchids.
• Boat rides are possible along the huge estuary of the nearby Kalu Ganga River.
• Travel to Colombo to enjoy a round at The Royal Colombo Golf Club, the 2nd oldest in   the world!

Stopover Excursions And Mini Tours
• The interesting royal capital of Kandy is about 5 hours away and you can visit the
Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage along the way (stopover night required).
• The South East corner of the island contains Yala National Park, one of the great wildlife
reserves of Asia and one of the best locations in the world to see Leopards. (stopover night required).
• Travel up to the Hill Country passing tea gardens and waterfalls to reach the legendary
colonial Hill Station of Nuwara Eliya at 6000 ft above sea level (stopover night required)

The Blue Water Hotel has a sense of style. The hotel lies in a very quiet area so there are not many local shops or restaurants nearby. A holiday here will therefore suit people who want total relaxation in luxury and are content with facilities based in the hotel itself. Having said this, the hotel is well located for numerous day and stopover excursions as mentioned above.

Tips: You should plan to combine a stay here with 1 or 2 longer stopover excursions to the interior of the island. This will enable you to have an interesting and enjoyable holiday while using the Blue Water Hotel to totally relax in between excursions.

A chic designer hotel that was the inspiration of the island’s famous architect Geoffrey Bawa. The main feature is the use of huge cascading pools of water that flow right through the hotel and wrap around the buildings themselves. The pools therefore contain around 5 times the water usually found in a resort hotel and by volume are one of the largest in Asia.

Rooms
• Standard rooms: Bedrooms have a Zen-like minimalist feel with cool whitewashed walls and they’re all kitted out with big, comfy beds, chunky wooden furniture and rugs on tiled floors. Add mod-cons like satellite TVs and air-conditioning plus your own balcony or terrace and they’re great little hideaways.

• Superior Rooms: Much larger with superior furnishings, directly overlooking the beach.

Fine Dining
• Admiral’s Room - serves fusion-style buffet meals with dishes ranging from Indian to
Mediterranean, and theme nights.

• Seaboard Deck And Bar - for light meals and refreshments.

• Seven Seas – 24 hour coffee shop.

• Choice of 4 Bars including Pool Bar and Beach

All Inclusive - What's Included

All Meals. Lunch may be taken in any of the two restaurants, and may be from the á la carte menu excluding lobster and prawns. All drinks, regular brand foreign and local liquor, house wine by the glass, beer, soft drinks and fresh juices (11 am-11 pm) excludes minibar.

One hour boat ride and 30 minute spa treatment per stay of minimum five nights (minimum stay of five nights).

Blue Water Spa

The Blue Water Spa takes a holistic approach to physical and spiritual well being providing a sanctuary for the senses. The architecture of the Spa Pavilions draws upon local inspiration to blend seamlessly with the natural environment of The Blue Water Hotel. Massage treatments are based on relaxing techniques that have passed through the hands of many generations. Other remedies include Body Wraps and Body Rubs, Shiatsu, Reflexology and Aromatherapy.
